Workforce Collaborative

The Clinton County Workforce Collaborative (CCWC) collaboratively tackles the critical and multi-faceted issues surrounding workforce development, retention, and recruitment in Clinton County and our surrounding region. The CCWC is comprised of business, education, non-profit, government, and economic/community development partners, and is open to anyone from these sectors who would like to become more involved in collaborative solutions to current workforce challenges.

The CCWC currently has three working groups – School/Community Connections, Education/Training, and Barriers to Work – in which members can become directly involved with identifying top workforce challenges and prioritizing and implementing next steps/projects.

MEETING SCHEDULE: All meetings are 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (3321 Airborne Road, Wilmington). Our meetings are open to anyone who would like to become more involved in collaborative solutions to current workforce challenges.

REGISTRATION FOR RESOURCE PROVIDERS/NON-PROFITS:

There will be no cost to participate as a Clinton County resource provider or non-profit organization. However if you represent either entity and also want to promote open jobs at your organization during the Fair, you must additionally register as an employer and pay the $50 registration fee.

Space is limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis. The deadline for registration is Monday, April 8th.

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email (within a day or two) as well as the status of your registration (confirmed or on the waitlist).

Set-up for all participants will begin within the Expo Building and the Floral Hall at the Clinton County Fairgrounds at 2:30PM on May 8th. You will be directed to your table upon arrival. All participants are expected to stay throughout the entire event.

Unlike our Career Exploration Fair, the set-up will be more of a traditional job fair setting and will not require fully interactive displays. Each business will be provided one 8 foot rectangle table and two chairs. Please note on the registration form if you have additional space or display requests, such as wanting more than one table or to set-up outside (weather permitting and space dependent).

SCHOOL & COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS RESOURCE GUIDE

The CCWC collected the information in the School and Community Connections Resource Guide from local businesses, organizations, and schools to better connect all of these entities, and to more comprehensively address workforce needs and solutions throughout our community.

This Guide is intended to make it easier for employers, local schools, and community agencies to identify and expand workforce development opportunities for youth and adults in our community.

This Guide is a working document that will be updated regularly as contacts, interests, and availability changes. If you would like to have your company’s information included in the Guide, please complete the EMPLOYER SURVEY or SCHOOL SURVEY as appropriate if you haven’t already done so
